How long have you been at Cleveland Elementary? 1 year so far with Cleveland and 6 years in the field of education!

What do you love most about teaching? I enjoy being able to connect with students and watch them grow into critical thinkers. I love being a middle school teacher since you get to have the same students 2 years in a row and watch them grow into amazing young people who are ready to change the world around them!

What is your favorite thing about Cleveland Elementary? I really appreciate how Cleveland is family-oriented and everyone wants to see the students and community succeed! Joining in the middle of a school year and with the pandemic, has presented unique challenges that I have felt supported and the magic of Cleveland all the way throughout the year! Thank you to Ms. Ward, Mr. Staszczak, the whole staff, students, and families for the warm welcome! Go Cardinals!

If you weren’t a teacher, what other profession would you enjoy? I would love to become a chef and travel the world studying different types of cultures and food!

Do you have any pets? Yes! I have 1 cat, he is 2 years old! I adopted him this year! He is named Augie after Caesar Augustus, and is the official virtual class pet of 304!

What is your most favorite place you have visited? Why? My favorite place I have visited would be Washington DC. Obviously the history and civics part is cool, but the diversity of cultures and experiences you can have in the city is great!

If you could have 1 superpower, what would it be? That is tough…I would say flying or time travel!

How many laps did you run in the last Red Bird Hustle? How many do you think you will run in the next one? I did not run any! However, I will be there to cheer on those who are runners!!
